A play written by popular English television and mystery writer Simon Brett. It is set in the home of Martin Powell and Celia Wallis. Detective Inspector Bruton is investigating the death of Martin Powell, a leading actor past his prime. Martin’s wife Celia is questioned, of course, and clearly appears innocent. However, journalist Neville Smallwood (who is drunk and staying at Celia’s house) is not all he seems. He is infatuated with Celia and has recently had an unpleasant argument with Martin. Neville looks to have the perfect motive, but who is the silhouetted figure seen in the doorway? And how well did Constable Leach know the murdered man?
