The Warehouse Youth Theatre
For all children aged from 8 to 16 the Youth Theatre is a great place to meet friends and develop new skills.
We meet almost every Monday in term time from 6-
Our programme varies as sometimes we work exceedingly hard to present full scale productions and other times we have workshops, singing, learning about lighting or making props.
We rely on support from IES committee members to help us raise funds, advertise, and day to day admin, so please come and join us!
Most recent production;
Arabian Nights
Adaptation book and lyrics by Adam Forde Music by David Perkins.
By arrangement with Plays and Musicals with support from the Youth Opportunity Fund
This full scale musical was a perfect show for the Youth Theatre as all children, from the age of 8 upwards, had speaking parts and many also had singing roles. The principle parts of Sultan, Scheherazade and Dinazade were excellently played by the more experienced members, some of whom have been members since they were quite young.
Thanks to IES support and guidance, Youth Theatre members not only took on roles on stage but also behind the scenes.
Directed by a young team of drama students, and ex Youth Theatre members who took on the project with guts and determination, the show was a huge triumph and great fun.
