“Curtains” is a big Broadway comedy who-dunnit, full of toe-tapping tunes, quick
one-liners and jaw-dropping revelations. The musical is set in the brassy, bright
and promising year of 1959. Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night
performance of “Robbin’ Hood!”. However, all is not well when the lead actress is
murdered at the end of the performance, but who could have done it? The musical takes
us on the quest to find the murderer before he can kill again. Will they make it
in time? Who did it? But most importantly, will they be able to save the show?
Following a very successful stint on Broadway, the “Curtains” producers are now planning
a UK tour, however, they have given us, ALIVE, express permission to put on this
production as the UK amateur premiere; the very first group to show this amazing
musical to the British public.
