“THe Government Inspector” - An IES Production, directed by Anna Bowerman

“The Government Inspector” by Nikolai Gogol is the latest IES Production to be presented on April 25th to 28th 2007, directed by Anna Bowerman.
This is a much acclaimed adaptation by Philip Goulding who calls it “A Little Local Difficulty”. It is set in a fictional, small West Country town. This adaptation of Gogol's famous comedy was described on Radio 4 as "enormously funny" . “It is Gogol's wonderful satire on greed, corruption and sleaze in not very high places” said The Guardian.
Several years ago we were lucky enough to perform a wonderful version of “The Mayor of Casterbridge” by Philip Goulding and we hope that our next production by this wonderful writer will prove to by just as entertaining.
