Our Christmas ‘play with music’ this year is Toad of Toad Hall. It will be directed by Celia Crookes whose recent presentation of Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Time of My Life’ was such a great sucess.
This well known tale, adapted by AA Milne from Kenneth Grahame’s ‘Wind in the Willows’ appeals to all ages. The swaggering, boastful Toad’s adventures take us from a peaceful picnic on the riverbank to the sinister goings-on in the Wild Wood; from the hilarious procedures in the courtroom to the comic disguises in Toad’s prison cell and from the suspense in the escape tunnell to the bloody fight in the Banqueting hall - before all ends happily!
