READ-THROUGH & AUDITIONS – ACTORS WANTED!

Monday 10th & Wednesday 12th November, 7:30 pm

 

We’re on the lookout for actors to join us for three One-Act plays, taking to the stage 19th–22nd February 2026!

Rehearsals will start in the New Year and will be arranged around cast availability.

 

These are three very different plays – a mix of comedy, heart and a bit of rock ‘n’ roll – all adding up to a great evening of theatre. Come along to the read-throughs, meet the directors, and see which one sparks your interest!

 

THE PLAYS:

 

Sure Thing by David Ives – Directed by Clare Brett

 

A fast, funny comedy about first impressions and second chances, as a bell resets a conversation until two strangers finally get it right!

Casting: 1 male & 1 female (20s–40s).

The Promise by Valda Dagnell – Directed by Valda Dagnell

​

A tender, thoughtful story of lifelong love and loyalty, as an elderly couple face a promise they once made to each other.

 

Knockin’ on Dave’s Door by Neil Webster – Directed by Ken Cooper

 

When Bob Dylan turns up at the wrong house in Crouch End, he meets Dave the plumber – a massive Dylan fan! A brilliant comedy inspired by a true story.

Roles include: Bob Dylan, Dave the Plumber, Ange (Dave’s girlfriend), a cabbie, a customs officer & a waitress.

This show will also be entered in the 2026 Somerset County Drama Festival (21st–22nd March at The Warehouse).
